Education has always been central to the culture of Bharata. The wisdom of our Rishis, who are experts in human learning processes, have given us templates upon which curriculum and content can be built for holistic education. While the world of educators and pedagogists focus on building better teaching aids and methods, Indian Learning systems from Ancient Bharata focus on facilitating learning. 

A Guru is one who is a perpetual learner and thus invokes learning in others. Therefore, how one learns is how one teaches, because when you teach, the first person to learn is you yourself. 8 youngsters who have graduated from the Gurukulam process of learning make up the core team of Leela Gurukulam.

The Gurukulam gives us the purpose of Life as to learn and evolve continuously while being conscious contributors and cultural creators. As we graduated from the Gurukulam through our Samavartana Sanskara, we were trained as Educators and Content Creators to bring ancient wisdom in a modern context. We stand by our vow of “Satyam Vada Dharmam Chara Svadhyayan Ma Pramadaha”.

This inspired us to take the vision of the Gurukulam forward and make it applicable and accessible to this generation not just to be in continuity of our own learning, but also to revive Swadeshi Education for future generations. 

Parents who have experienced the impact of Gurukulam way of life learning on their children are also part of the team and participate as parent mentors. Parent Mentors have also graduated from Gurukulam Mentors Training Programmes.
